A shocking traffic accident occurred on Monday (18/08) on Egnatia Xanthi – Komotini Street, at the height of the tolls of Iasmos.
Under unknown conditions so far, a truck collided with two vehicles, resulting in a fire and losing three people.
According to his information so far xanthinea.grIn one vehicle there were 4 people, of whom 3 were charred and one person was seriously injured in the hospital.
The driver of the truck was also taken to the hospital, while another 4 people were not injured in the third vehicle who did not appear to have suffered serious injuries.
The fire was expanded and around the Egnatia Road, to a rural area. Shocked, passing drivers rushed to see what had happened, while strong firefighters, 3 EKAB ambulances and police were mobilized.
Police have banned all vehicles on Egnatia Iasmos – Xanthi Road on Komotini – Xanthi, due to the traffic accident. Vehicle traffic is carried out through the Komotini National Network – Porto Lagos – Xanthi and the drivers are requested to follow the instructions of the wheelchairs.
