Air quality in Mediterranean areas was highly burdened summer of 2025due to the extensive forest fires, according to the analysis.

Based on preliminary data from the Copernicus atmosphere Tracking Service (CAMS)edited by Meteo’s scientific team, Europe’s most burdensome areas in terms of air quality were the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal), as well as the Balkans, focusing on Greece.
