Without taxi Tomorrow, Tuesday 9th and tomorrow, Wednesday, September 10, Attica as the Attica Motorway Trade Union (SATA) announced a 48 -hour strike from 6am on Tuesday to 6am on Thursday.

Taxi drivers react to urban travel and van. At the same time they announced a rally on Tuesday, September 9th at 10am outside the SATA offices.

In its announcement, SATA states:

“The taxi industry is opposed to yet another violent attack by the government and the financial interests it serves. With the unacceptable and outrageous photographic joint Ministerial Decision (JMD) no. 134328/20-8-2025, attempts to permanently shift the transport project to the cartels of multinational and large business groups, in order to exterminate the self-employed professional taxi driver.

The government, consistent with its neoliberal policies, is legislating in favor of the powerful and against the people of the day, rejecting social dialogue and the Constitution.

We will not tolerate our humiliation and extinction.

The SATA responds dynamically and collectively.

Following the meeting of the Board of Directors of September 2, 2025, it was decided unanimously (except Kostas Dimos) to declare a 48 -hour strike for September 9 and 10, 2025. We invite all colleagues to massive, dynamic participation in the mobilizations.

WE CLAIM:

‘Immediate withdrawal of JMD 134328/20-8-2025

End the nonsense of multinationals and digital platforms

Support of Taxi Professional Driver – not in the breakup of the industry

Justice, equality, respect for people working on the streets

‘Immediate resolution of chronic taxi problems created by the government with its policy

Buses – Mandatory Electricity from 1/1/2026 – Unfair Competition – Tax, tighten the cluster everyday

This fight is not just for taxi drivers. It is a struggle for democracy, for dignity, for the right to work. It is also a struggle for the passenger public.

We are all here! No tolerance for mockery! No retreat in leveling!

“A branch, one voice – all together in the taxi race!”

SATA It is calling for unity and battle to all taxi clubs in the country.

The attack we receive as a branch has no borders – it does not discriminate.

Whether Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, or islands: the goal is common – the defense of the profession.

It’s time to fight united.

To become a fist, a voice, a force »concludes the announcement of SATA.
