With Great participation of elementary school children And intense excitement by organizers and audiences, the experiential actions organized by the public was implemented last Saturday. Ministry of Environment and Energyshortly before the official inauguration of his stand, in the framework of the 89th Thessaloniki International Exhibition (TIF).
The interactive game that took place had as The main objective of raising children’s awareness and the enhancement of ecological consciousness, emphasizing the importance of protecting the environment. The participation was particularly great, both by children and their parents, who embraced the initiative.
The educational material It was designed by the non -profit organization “Agents of the Planet”, in collaboration with Eleni Andreadis, the creator of the award -winning series of children’s books. The action was based on the characters and the content of the popular series, creating a creative learning environment for children. Particular emphasis was given to the water scarcity and the importance of proper water resources management.
‘Planet agents’ in the heart of education
The children were made ‘Agents of the planet’ and were invited to carry out confidential missions. Through the game, they discussed Reduction of water consumption and plasticre -filled their glasses from the pavilion cooler, received crabs and books, while adorning the tree of the action with paper drops where they wrote wishes for the future of the planet.
The cooperation of the RIS with the “agents of the planet” aimed to highlight the childish fantasy force in modern environmental education and emphasize the need for a new generation of citizens with environmental sensitivity and an active attitude to the challenges of the time. The ministry’s booth became a meeting point for numerous visitors, representatives of bodies, politics, entrepreneurship and the media, receiving children from children with optimism and positive change.
Expanding the action in schools
As part of the continuation of close cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the further utilization of the educational material is planned. After the end of the TIF, the content of the actions are foreseen to tour schools across the country, in the context of the section ‘I take care of the environment’ in skill laboratories.
