The recruitment of 100 Roma in ELAS The Ministry of Citizen Protection is planning to control offenses in camps, according to a report by the newspaper “Ta Nea”.
The process is expected to be completed within the end of the year and aims at the best operational planning, as well as the creation of security networks by the Security Authorities to tackle gangs in the western suburbs of Attica, but also where there is a romance density.
Katechakis executives report to the newspaper how “This will make it better to understand the choices and processes within the Roma community leading to illegality as well as the family structure of some gangs.”
ELAS will hire, according to the report, 100 Roma as Special Guardswith a necessary condition that the Litchi and to know the linguistic idiom Romance. ELAS executives do not exclude some of them from functioning in covert as “secret” police officers.
These special guards will serve in services in Athens, Thessaloniki and other areassuch as Ilia, where large Roma communities live.
