To Thessaloniki The Ecumenical Patriarch has been in the morning. Bartholomew. Mr. Bartholomew will remain in the city by October 2 And during his stay in the city, he will attend scheduled events and will take a series of visits to religious, cultural and social institutions.
Mr Bartholomew, after his escort, arrived at Macedonia Airport this morning.
Tomorrow, SaturdayAt seven in the afternoon, he will inaugurate at the Thessaloniki Administration, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Interior (Macedonia – Thrace) Kostas Giouleka the photographic exhibition “Beyond the Visible” referring to the lives of the Mount Athos.
On Sunday morning he will dance at the Patriarchal Divine Liturgy at the Church of St. George (Rotonda)in the presence of the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Hieronymus and will be a memorial service for the deceased Professor of Theology Chrysostom Stamoulis.
Her Mondayat 10.30am will visit the Town Hall of Thessaloniki And in the afternoon, at 18:30 pm, he will inaugurate the work of the Three -day Second International Conference “THEOLOGY” at the Church of St. Demetrius.
During his stay, Mr. Bartholomew will visit ecclesiastical institutions, monasteries, schools in the city and in the wider area.
