Following the assent of the President of the Court of Appeals to the prosecution’s proposal to refer to a trial of 36 defendants, the next step in the judicial investigation of the Tempi Multipurpose Convention is now the pension of the indictment.

This will determine in detail the accusations of stakeholders, paving the way for the trial to determine.

It is a procedure that draws the conclusions of the long -term investigative investigation, the prosecution proposal and the consent of the President of the Court of Appeals, which is essentially “building” the framework within which the trial will take place.

It is recalled that thirteen days after the prosecution’s mission, the President of the Court of Appeals today gave its agreement, a development that accelerates proceedings for the trial.

Until the issuance of clients are adopted, the parties have the right to exercise the projected remedies, which may affect the final form of the case.

The trial concerns 36 non -political figures and will be held at the Three -Member Court of Appeals of Larissa, which will be responsible for the tragic event that claimed the lives of dozens of people.

They are OSE officials, ERGOSE, Hellenic Train, Railway Regulatory Authority (RAS) as well as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, which are called upon to account for their role in the chain of omissions and responsibilities that led to the accident.

In the meantime, there are three more exhumation requests that have been submitted by relatives of victims, with the aim of further investigating critical issues. The Prosecutor of the Court of First Instance is expected to rule on them.

Of course, some issues are left, such as his translation into Italian for the defendants of the Hellenic Train, and the final determination of the trial, which will take place at the Conference Center of the University of Thessaly, Larissa.

The procedure will take place in a special room that has already been prepared to host such a great trial, with dozens of defendants and lawyers.
