The changes that concern in vaccination / disease certificates / certificates which apply from now on to domestic air travel announced by the Civil Aviation Authority.
Specifically, it is stipulated that travelers, in order to board the plane without a test, must have a vaccination certificate valid for up to nine (9) months after the completion of the basic vaccination and without a time limit for travelers who have received the booster dose. or alternatively a certificate of illness whose validity lasts up to six (6) months.
In relation to the previous aviation directive (notam), the change is in the times when the vaccination and disease certificates are valid, which from the seven (7) months and three (3) months that were foreseen before, will now be valid for nine (9) and six (6) months respectively.
In particular, the new domestic flight notam after the last change provides:
Passengers to all destinations in the country must meet one of the following conditions:
1) Vaccination certificate valid for up to nine (9) months after the completion of the basic vaccination and without time limit for travelers who have received the booster dose, in accordance with the provisions of current legislation. The European digital certificate COVID-19 (EU DIGITAL COVID-19 CERTIFICATE) is also acceptable.
2) Disease certificate lasting up to six (6) months according to the provisions of the current legislation.
3) Domestic flight passengers who have not been vaccinated to board the airplane must have been negatively tested for COVID-19 coronavirus by PCR within the last seventy-two (72) hours prior to the scheduled flight time or within forty-eight (48) hours by rapid test prior to departure.
Minors from four (4) to seventeen (17) years old They can also make their air travel by performing a self-test that takes place up to twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled flight time.
In the case of foreigners from abroad, they can present the vaccination certificate or the certificate of illness or the negative test, in Greek, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian or Russian. A prerequisite is that the documents have been issued by a public authority and in accordance with the relevant legislation. If these checks have been carried out abroad and are valid at the time of boarding the aircraft, the relevant certificates are accepted under the same conditions under which they were allowed to enter Greece.
If a passenger does not wear a mask, he is not allowed to board.
At arrivals and departures within airports, as well as during air flights, staff and passengers are required to wear a protective mask. If a passenger does not wear a mask, he is not allowed to board the plane. The verification of travel documents is carried out by the employees of the airlines and by sampling by the police authorities at the airports. Airlines are required to check the traveler before boarding to confirm that he has the necessary documents.
