“As I turn inside, I see that there is a huge fire from the wall and a second patient is burning in the face and body. With the second fire extinguisher I try to extinguish the patient, but unfortunately the oxygen supply fires the fire more and more. “While it is burning, I pull it out and extinguish its fire and at the same time I throw it with the fire extinguisher in the oxygen supply so that there is no explosion”.

Mr. Tryfon also said that the intense black smoke coming out of the spot filled the whole chamber and the corridor.

He further noted that the evacuation plan of the hospital worked flawlessly, also describing that it aimed to extinguish the supply of oxygen so that the fire does not spread to other wards through this system.

“The patient who had a very high oxygen supply literally disappeared, he was 72 years old,” he said, adding that “the patient with very severe burns is 52 years old, and is essentially the one who said he put out the fire and started from him”.

Regarding what he knows about the causes of the fire, he said that the patient told him that “he broke my cell phone in my hands.

“I can not tell you that this is the cause, nor that it is not”, added Mr. Tryfon.
