A bloody incident with one injured occurred yesterday afternoon in Peraia, Thessaloniki, with the police making five arrests. Among those arrested is the 20-year-old injured who was hit by a sharp object and is being treated under guard.
According to what I learned, they are hiding “behind” the episode personal differenceswith the version being considered by the Authorities linked to reasons for romantic anti-jealousy.
As stated in a police statement, it all started when group of people attacked a 47-year-old and his 26-year-old nephew with sticks and clubs (of Albanian origin). In the course of the incident, the 47-year-old attacked the 20-year-old and another young man, 21, with a knife, injuring the first.
The investigations by the police officers of the Department of Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes Thermaikos led to the arrest of five people for involvement in the fight.
It’s about four young people (Greeks, aged 18 to 21) and for the 47-year-old. They were charged, on a case-by-case basis, with affray, dangerous bodily harm, attempted murder and violation of the Arms Act.
The arrested, except for the one hospitalized, will be brought to the Thessaloniki prosecutor.
