A cat gave birth on March 25 at the foyer of the National Road Athens – Thessaloniki at the height of Molos Fthiotida. An operation was immediately set up to rescue the five little cats and their mother, temporarily halting traffic.

According to a report by tvstar.gr, this is a cat that lived in the parking lot and roamed the toilets of PATHE, crossing the National Road every day to cross.

A passing driver saw the cat, informed volunteers, who rushed to the spot but did not find her, because θ Pathenia, as they “christened” her, had passed from the opposite side. Always unharmed, because she knew when she had to run fast and cross the highway.

On Friday (08.04.2022), in an organized effort, the volunteers in collaboration with Nea Odos and the police succeeded!

Closing for a few minutes a stream to Athens from the Molos side, they picked up the kittens with their mom, put them in a cat carrier and removed them from the National Road.

Now θ Pathenia is in a safe place with her kittens!
