The Greek Consul General in Odessa, Dimitris Dohtsis, received today additional Greek humanitarian aid addressed to the wintering Ukrainian people, including the expatriates.
The humanitarian aid is provided under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the assistance of the Attica Region, the Greek Red Cross, Doctors of the World (Greece) and the “Sklavenitis” company, as well as with the support of the Boubouras Charitable Foundation.
This humanitarian aid, which includes food, hygiene items and medicines, is added to the humanitarian aid conveyed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, to the Ukrainian people, during his recent visit to the historic city of Odessa (April 3, 2022). .
At the same time, tomorrow, April 12, 2022, the 4th Humanitarian Mission of the Greek Red Cross to Ukraine will depart from Athens, bound for Odessa.
In particular, 50 tons of humanitarian material will be transported, urgently needed for the affected population of the city, which includes long-lasting food, bottled water, antiseptics, sanitary equipment and three generators.
The departure of the Mission will be attended by the 7th General Director of Development and Humanitarian Aid of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alexandros Diakopoulos.
