The minister, in particular, stressed that the obligation to use a mask for indoor use will remain in force until May 31, 2022. “From June 1, the obligation will be lifted with exceptions that will be clarified in the next JMC,” he stressed.
The minister did not mention public transport, however, according to information, the suggestions made by the experts are to remain mandatory. According to the same sources, the Ministry of Health is expected to announce in the near future – something that will be seen from the relevant JMC – that the obligation to use a mask will continue to exist in:
- Urban Public Transport (metro, buses, trolleys, trams, etc.)
- Taxi
- Ferry services (enclosed spaces on ships)
- Trains
- KTEL

This basically means that even where there was an obligation to perform a test, it will no longer need to be performed. In the next period, the lifting of the display of the European certificate for entry into the country is expected to be considered, at which time there will be newer announcements.
