In partnership with another important university institution in the country, the Panteionproceeded the Municipality of Athens, in order for the two bodies to cooperate in emblematic actions that will have a direct impact on the Athenian society, on the environment, but also on the city itself. The cooperation was sealed with a memorandum, which was signed between him Mayor of Athens, Costa Bakogianni and to Rector of Panteion, Professor Christina Koulouris.
The two sides agreed to strengthen their scientific cooperation through the exchange of know-how and research experience on issues related to the quality of life in Athens.

The collaboration includes design and development of standard solutions for green, sustainable, climate neutral, resilient and innovative cities. The residents of Athens will also be able to submit proposals for the urban revitalization and upgrade of the public space, while the participation of the Municipality of Athens in the international Networks of Cities, such as the C40 Network and the 100 Resilient Cities Network will be utilized.
Destination promotion, innovation and entrepreneurship
At the same time, the Municipality of Athens through Development and Tourism Promotion Company and his Athens Partnership will work with Panteion to develop programs communication strategy (branding) and digital marketingwith the aim of promoting Athens as an attractive destination for residents, visitors, businessmen and investors.
The two bodies will collaborate in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship through new ideas, exchange of know-how, international synergies, networking and participation in European programs. University students will be able to participate in the Digital Lab, the Laboratory for the Development of Digital Solutions of the Municipality of Athens, in order to design innovative digital solutions and pilot applications for new products and services that enhance the quality of life of residents and visitors.
The partnership extends to the field of culture. The Municipality of Athens will collaborate with the Panteion Choir for the organization of joint educational activities and public events.
At the same time, the municipality will provide internship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students of the university to its supervised institutions, while the Lifelong Learning Center of Panteion will create cutting-edge training programs for the staff of the Municipality of Athens and its institutions.
