In the arrest of the two Turks who crashed by paraglider in the sea area off Karystos the Coast Guard proceeded.
As it turned out, the two men, aged 32 and 33, had started their flight from Smyrna and were destined for Athens, from where they would travel to another country.

A patrol boat LS-EL.AKT went directly to the area. as well as a patrol vehicle LS-EL.AKT., where two (02) men aged 32 and 33 were found on the shore, according to their statement, who were wearing life jackets. According to their statement, they had departed by motorized paraglider from the region of Izmir, Turkey, to Athens, in order to then go abroad, while due to lack of fuel, the paraglider crashed in the aforementioned sea area.
The aliens swam to shore with the help of two underwater fishermen, who, according to their statement, observed the crash of the glider, while then searches were made in search of it, with negative results and no marine pollution was observed.
The above were transferred to the Karystos Health Center for the provision of first aid, where they remain hospitalized.
The above-mentioned foreigners were arrested by the Karystos Port Authority, which is conducting the preliminary investigation, for violating article 83 of Law 3386/2005, as it was found that they lacked legal documents to stay in the country.
