Arrests will now be made by the Prosecutor’s Office for anti-vaccinators who urge citizens not to be vaccinated or not to receive medical services for the pandemic, endangering their lives and the lives of others, as the implementation of the new provisions of the Penal Code for spreading false news has begun .

Already yesterday, a lawyer was arrested, who has long been at the forefront of anti-vaccination campaigns for the offenses of spreading false news and inciting disobedience. His arrest was ordered by the Athens Prosecutor’s Office, which has been conducting relevant investigations for a long time about the action of vaccinators.

However, in this case, a complaint was sent to the prosecutor’s office by the Cybercrime Directorate with attached electronic files, in which a lawyer appears and allegedly states that there is no coronavirus, that patients are intubated for no reason and that the vaccines have side effects.

Following the transfer of the files in question, an urgent prosecutorial investigation was ordered and the lawyer was arrested. However, he was released due to his legal status, as the lawyers are not referred to the Autophoros and are tried in a separate special procedure. However, after the criminal prosecution, the appellate court has jurisdiction over the lawyers.
