The repeated incidents of mass poisoning of animals in the neighborhood of Kato Toumpa in Thessaloniki are taking on alarming proportions, with the residents who are in front of disgusting spectacles almost every day with the killing of animals full of rage.

Only last week, residents of Psaron Street in Thessaloniki, have identified at least 20 dead cats after poisoning, as she complains speaking to GRTimes.gr, Mrs. Ioulia Avgerinou, resident and president of the Association in Toumpa “Happy Uritses”.

Today only, as can be seen in the following HARD IMAGES of GRTimes.gr, they found ten more dead cats, inside the surrounding construction site and notified the police who rushed to the spot in order to record the incident.

Together with another resident of the area, they collected the dead cats in two black bags. “In the last two days, at least 20 cats with nests have been poisoned and as soon as they die, they take them and throw them away so that we can not find them,” he told GRTimes.gr, asking that everything possible be done to end this situation and, of course, to find those responsible and punish them.

In fact, it is not only its own Association that seeks an immediate solution to the problem of mass animal poisoning, which shows that it is gaining uncontrollable proportions in the neighborhood, but also the Association “Stray Footmen” makes its own efforts, as Ms. explains. Augerinou.

“We called the police and we hope there will be no more dead animals. “We want the perpetrator or perpetrators to be identified and punished,” he said.

It is noted that the residents are looking for material from security cameras in the area or any information that could help the police.
