In Public Consultation is set by Ministry of Digital Governance the project of the digital transformation of the Local Government “Smart Cities”funded with around € 230 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
As officially announced by the Minister of State and Digital Government Kyriako Pierrakaki and the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance Thodoris Libanios, concerns 315 municipalities of the country, which have a population of up to 100,000 inhabitants. The project has seven pillars (sustainable mobility, energy savings, reduction of Energy Impact of Municipal Buildings, improvement of citizen and business service, improvement of quality of life, strengthening of local democracy, consultation and transparency, protection against cyber attacks and reinforcements of 39 attacks).
It is reminded that the remaining municipalities, over 100,000 inhabitants, will be funded for corresponding actions by the Recovery and Sustainability Fund in the amount of 90 million euros.
THE Public Consultation will last until Wednesday 25 May 2022 and interested parties are invited to submit their comments in writing to the email address [email protected]. The project “DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT – Development of Smart Cities and Internet of Things (IoT) Applications (IoT)” is implemented within the framework of the Business Program ” .
