However, despite the care on the small island of Dodecanese, the capabilities of the medical and nursing staff were limited and therefore its transfer to Crete was deemed urgent.

According to reliable sources, the doctors notified about the transport of the wounded from Kasos to Crete and the Agios Nikolaos Hospital was immediately put on standby.

An EKAB ambulance and a specialized doctor were waiting at the port of the city for the injured person to arrive so that he could be transported to the Hospital.
