The testimony of the 24-year-old, a child of a single-parent family – with his mother an illegal immigrant from Ukraine, is the third that started in court, with the fourth complainant, third on the list of MOD, remaining missing even though the judges at the previous hearing ordered his forcible extradition.
The process began with the defense of the former head of the National Theater to request the dismissal of the lawyer of this absent witness from the Civil Action. According to the lawyer of Dimitris Lignadis, the lawyer has forged the signature of the alleged victim in the power of attorney that seems to have been granted to him last March.
The witness described in court his acquaintance with the accusedin 2015 in Metaxourgeio, where he was sitting with his friends and them approached the artistς. It was the time, as the 24-year-old testified, that his mother had abandoned him and was living alonewithout money and without having spoken to anyone about the situation he was living in.
“Him I trusted. I told him about my mother, about my father, that I do not have electricity at home or papers for my stay in the country. He suggested I stay with him. He told me “I do not want to impose it, yours is your choice”. I felt he could help me. I felt confident because he told me that his own father was abusive and that he loved his mother. I felt that he understood me. I saw it as an opportunity to get away from it all. “To finish school, to make my life more normal,” the witness told the judges, adding that after about a month of meeting the accused, he accepted his offer to stay at home.
As he stated: “I was sleeping in the living room. After a few days he gave me keys … I felt bad that I had nothing to offer. I told him if he wanted me to cook. He left me a sum, I was shopping, I was cooking. I was going to school at the same time. I also cleaned the house, tidied it up. “I felt obliged.”
According to the complainant, shortly after his move to the artist’s house, D. Lignadis committed sexual violence in three cases with him freezing and then crying secretly. As he said, the accused later she started talking badly to him, they had fights and pressured him to get a job while, as he said, he did not have residence papers. He also referred to an incident he saw, with another young man.
