Meeting with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmitro Koulempathe Prime Minister had today in Davos, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in the context of the World Economic Forum.
The situation on the ground in eastern Ukraine, especially in Donbas, was discussed at length during the meeting.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister thanked the Prime Minister for the assistance offered by Greece and Kyriakos Mitsotakis assured him that our country will continue to support Ukraine.
Mr. Kouleba informed the Prime Minister about the cargo Ukrainian cereals and agricultural products which, under the present circumstances, cannot be exported via the Black Sea.
The Prime Minister also noted Greece ‘s support for Ukraine’ s EU accession prospects.
Earlier, the prime minister took part in a working breakfast on the Western Balkans. At the meeting, which was attended by, among others, the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrei Plenkovicthe President of Serbia, Alexander Vuτςiτςthe Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazovicthe President of Northern Macedonia, Stevo Pentarovski and the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, stressed the importance of stability in the Western Balkans, at a time when there is great global unrest due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
At the same time, the importance of a stable and secure energy supply in the Balkans was stressed, in which Greece can play an even more important role thanks to the development of key infrastructures for the reception and promotion of energy loads.
