Mr. Loverdos, in a press conference he gave, noted that since he is the choice of the citizens in the elections for the leadership of the party “the unity of the party will be photographed”. He stressed that otherwise “I will contribute to the unity of the party with all my strength.”
Among other things, Mr. Loverdos called on the citizens to participate en masse in the electoral process, asking them to “set aside party mechanisms”. At the same time, he noted that the elections for the promotion of the party leadership “should be a celebration of democracy”.
“I call on 11 million citizens to make December 5 a celebration of democracy and to choose. I am not a man of confused messages and I set the criteria. “One of them is that on December 6, the battle must be fought in Parliament and not through representatives,” he noted.
Speaking about the attitude that he will take towards the government of ND but also to SYRIZA, if he is elected president of the party, Mr. Loverdos stressed that “we are an opposition party, so we will oppose”. At the same time, he added, “we will not oppose the line we have had so far.”
“There are social policy issues that we will put a lot of emphasis on. There are problems with obstacles to the production of national income, but also obstacles that prohibit solidarity. There are problems that if the government does something good, we will support it. I set the example with the penal codes, that in the heinous crimes that my party held an incomprehensible attitude, I went beyond its limits and said what should be done “.
Regarding his attitude towards SYRIZA, the candidate for president of KINAL noted that his goal is to confront SYRIZA “with a clear political game”.
“We will play cleanly and honestly. Our goal is to more than double our forces in the next parliamentary elections. “We will make a positive upset in the political formations”, he concluded.
