Insularity must be a national debt for the government and for the parties, the PASOK president noted.
“Insularity does not mean abandonment”, stressed the president of PASOK-Movement for Change Nikos Androulakis during his speech tonight in Kos, advocating the need to strengthen the structures of primary health and education so that children stay in their place.
“Each of you knows very well what it means to be an akrita who expects justice from the state, who expects insularity not to be an exclusion, not to be a condemnation of few opportunities. Insularity must be a national debt for the government and for the parties. We need development projects, special incentives for the Hellenism of our islands that we want to increase in population, to prosper. “Our islands are not just summer tourist havens,” he said President of PASOK-Movement for Change.
“Erdogan is an international activist who is capable of creating huge problems for his own people, as long as he holds the seat of power. So what is the insight of Mr. Mitsotakis when a few months ago after the meeting with Erdogan he told the Greek people that much better days are dawning in relation to Turkey? “Didn’t he understand where things were going?” commented Mr. Androulakis against the background of the sharpening of Turkish provocation.
“It will raise issues of demilitarization of the islands and sovereignty, when the agreements we have signed are clear. International law is on our side. It is inconceivable that our partners should equip Turkey, whether it is the People’s Party or the Social Democrats. An arms embargo must therefore be imposed immediately by all European states on Erdogan’s Turkey. “There is no other way to demonstrate European solidarity in practice.”
Referring to the political climate, Mr. Androulakis noted that “it is convenient for Kyriakos Mitsotakis to clash with Alexis Tsipras to terrorize the centrist and democratic voters on the way to restoring a SYRIZA-Kammenou government. Our return is uncomfortable for both of them.” because it reminds that the historical, political, social opponent of the right wing in the country, is PASOK, the democratic faction. “We are the ones who can ensure a government choice of stability, a government choice of dignity.”
Mr. Androulakis addressed a call to the voters of the progressive center and the progressive left: “I call here from Kos, all the progressive left and the progressive center to discuss, to make a program social-democratic. “Because Andreas Papandreou’s party was not created as a small party in the center, but as the great democratic party of the center-left, and that is what I aspire to become again.”
The president of PASOK-Movement for Change called for neighborhood-by-neighborhood mobilization, noting that “we can once again make the sun of social justice and national dignity rise again in Greece. As a proud democratic force, which will tie the Right to the time warp of history and this patchwork of populism, where it deserves. Because the Greek people really deserve more than what the years of toxicity and discord offered them. We want to unite the people. With a plan of change and perspective. And not for the Greek people to live constantly small civil wars and divisions. It is worth more, we will give it more “.
Analyzing the package of proposals of PASOK-Movement for the relief of households and businesses from the rally of price increases, Mr. Androulakis noted, among other things: “Why do we propose a ceiling in the retail tomorrow morning? Because you will see the reduction in your invoice tomorrow. With the wholesale ceiling, on the other hand, we will compensate the big energy producers based on the energy they produce, without being sure what the exact reduction in your tariff will be when this measure works. Why is this happening? “Because very simply, Mr. Mitsotakis does not want to clash with strong interests.”
