by

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, speaking to Giorgos Autias, pointed out that the government will continue to denounce and internationalize “Turkey’s illegal behavior”.

“We will not do favors to Mr. Erdogan. The Greeks will decide sovereignly who they want to govern them and I believe they will vote again for Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis” explained the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotisspeaking today to and to the journalist Giorgos Autias.

“We will not give in to any of the absurd and illegal claims it raises, we will continue to denounce and internationalize Turkey’s illegal behavior and try to put it on the path of respecting international law”he added and emphasized that the government, with its weapons program, is shielding the country for the next decade.

Highlighting the difficulties caused by global inflation, the international energy crisis and the food crisis due to the war in Ukraine, the Deputy Minister noted that we have a difficult winter ahead of us and it matters who will lead Greece through these crises. It is important, he stressed, to have stability at home and a strong voice abroad and referred both to the de-escalation of electricity bills through government interventions and to the successful negotiation of the Recovery Fund from which Greece benefits with 72 billion euros that create conditions for development across the country.

Mr. Varvitsiotis emphasized that “we will succeed even in this difficult situation” noting that the government has succeeded in order to “for Greece to have a strong voice in Europe and strategic international alliances, while strengthening the country’s defense and deterrent power”.
