At 10 pm, the pre-election debate of the 5 candidates for the leadership of the Movement for Change is scheduled to take place on ERT. As it is known, George Papandreou disagreed with the model, the terms and the content of the telematch and shortly before it will take place, he will have an open debate with young people in the center of Athens, while earlier in the afternoon he will speak in Argyroupoli.
The other candidates Nikos Androulakis, Andreas Loverdos, Pavlos Geroulanos, Haris Kastanidis and Pavlos Christidis, are going to answer the questions of the journalists, Giorgos Kouvaras (ACTION24), Pavlou Tsima (SKAI), and Tasos PaPnas (EF). The telematch will be coordinated by the presenter of the main news bulletin of the public television, Adriana Paraskevopoulos.
As agreed between the candidates, the three journalists will have the opportunity to ask more than one question, as well as to ask for clarifications on the answers of the candidates.
The discussion and questions will cover the following topics:
a) Crisis management: Pandemic and welfare state -Economic crisis -Climate change -Energy crisis -Demographic
b) Foreign policy: National issues – The relationship with Turkey – Immigration
c) Democracy – Institutions – Justice – Political System – Administration and Local Government – New technologies.
d) The position of the Movement for Change in the political scene – Politics, electoral strategy and alliances – The relationship with N.D. and SYRIZA – The future of the party- The Greek and European social democracy- The next day.
e) Free question outside the thematic context.
It is noteworthy that the candidates with the completion of each module will be able to comment for almost a minute on the answers of their fellow candidates. The telematch will end with a direct dialogue between them. There, each candidate will be able to ask any of his fellow candidates and he will answer.
All the answers should not exceed one and a half minutes and the questions of the journalists should not exceed half a minute.
