“We consider it self-evident that the Greek authorities and the government will do everything possible to clarify the case”, state in their joint statement the heads of the National Defense Department of SYRIZA-PS, Thodoris Dritsas and Giorgos Tsipras, regarding the fall of the Antonov aircraft in Kavala.
Specifically, the announcement states the following:
“The downing of the Ukrainian Antonov aircraft on Greek territory puts the Greek authorities before the national and international responsibility to investigate all aspects of this particular flight and the cargo of the fatal Antonov.
What kind of cargo was the aircraft carrying?
Had the Civil Aviation Service and the co-competent bodies been informed about the type of cargo for the flight in Greek airspace?
Does this update match the cargo he actually carried? The Ministry of Defense is in a position to provide an answer and we will request a responsible update.
What is the actual origin and what is the actual final destination of the cargo? Will the Greek government limit itself to the statements of the Serbian Ministry of Defense about the simple cooperation of two private companies, one Serbian and one Ukrainian, or will it investigate the issue in depth?
