The Minister of Rural Development noted that it is a good opportunity to redefine the needs of the country

“At the moment there does not seem to be any issue of a food crisis for our country or for the European Union, i.e. lack of food”, clarified the Minister of Rural Development George Georgantas speaking to radio station Status 107.7.

As the minister noted, he is concerned about the fact of the very important climate changes, which are constantly increasing and which in many cases reduce productions.

“All this combined with the energy crisis and the inability to export certain products from Ukraine, can create issues in other countries and based on accuracy. We have to see what is happening in the world as a whole. Anyone who believes in securing their own income sufficiency, I think that he does not live in today’s world”underlined Mr. Georgantas.

The Minister of Rural Development noted that it is a good opportunity to redefine the needs of the country. “On the one hand, we have to see how we will cover our needs and have less dependence on imports and support our exportable products”, he stressed.
