With his visit to its port city Igoumenitsa the prime minister completed his tour of Etoloakarnania, Preveza and Thesprotia.
At 6:00 in the afternoon Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the works of the new Port of Igoumenitsa, which are in the 3rd phase of completion. He was informed about the project of the new port by the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Mr. Georgios Karagiannis, the Minister of Shipping and Insular Policy Plakiotakis and the General Secretary of Insular Policy Vangelis Kyriazopoulos.
THE Prime Minister showed particular interest and asked for information about the icon at the western entrance gate of Greece, which is none other than the port of Igoumenitsa.

“I am particularly happy because the investments are progressing at a high speed as I was informed and within the next year we will have a complete commercial and passenger port … And of course then we will make sure to build the marina as well. The port cannot function in the absence of the local authorities. After the visit to the port, the Prime Minister walked around the city and received a warm welcome from a crowd of people at a cafe on the city’s coastal road.
