The president of POASY, Grigoris Gerakarakos, left the panel of the SKAI TV show “Simera”, complaining that yesterday, Wednesday, in the same show, ND MP Babis Papadimitriou insulted the police, calling them “cops”.
During Wednesday’s show, Mr. Papadimitriou crossed his swords over the issue of obligation with SYRIZA MP George Katrougalos, who called for expansion into professional groups such as the police. At the forefront of the official opposition’s refusal to vote in favor of the amendment on the obligation, the ND MP said: “So you are interested in” punching “the” cops “but you do not care about the old people who die?”.
This disgust angered Mr. Gerakarakos, who spoke of insulting thousands of his colleagues and wondered if the prime minister agreed with his MP.
Babis Papadimitriou responded to the president of POASY, talking about a “television issue”, a false claim that he considers the police “cops” and an unnecessary attack against him.
