SYRIZA calls for the Parliament’s institutions and transparency committee to be convened immediately, within the week, on the case of connections and denounces the government’s decision to set the pre-agenda debate a few days before the official start of the Plenary session.
SYRIZA requests that the new Governor of the EYP, the president of the Communications Privacy Assurance Authority, the former Governor of the EYP Mr. Kontoleon, the former Secretary of the Prime Minister Mr. Dimitriadis and the Prosecutor assigned to the EYP be summoned to a hearing at the Committee on Institutions and Transparency .
According to the MPs of SYRIZA-PS “there are very serious reasons of urgency for the immediate convening of the Committee, both because of the surveillance scandal by the EYP and through the Predator software, as well as because of the attempts to cover it up”.
