Hatzivasiliou on SKAI: A PASOK MP called the minority “Turkish” – ND announcement

by

With his post in Turkish, Burhan Baran spoke of a “Turkish” minority and invited the Muslims of Xanthi to vote next week, one of the pseudo-muftis candidates.

A serious complaint about it MP of PASOK, Burhan Baran did the ND MP for a well-known internationalist, Tasos Hatzivasiliou.

As Mr. Hatzivasiliou said on SKAI TV and the “Dekatians” show, Mr. Baran, in his post in Turkish, spoke of a “Turkish” minority in Thrace and invited the Muslims of Xanthi to vote next week, one of the would-be liars.

“PASOK and the leadership of PASOK are wondering: Does it agree with what its MP says? Do they respect or not respect the laws of the Greek state? Do they recognize the legitimate mufti who is chosen each time by the Greek state, or do they recognize the pseudo-mufti resident of Ankara?”said the ND MP.

It is worth noting that Burhan Baran’s Twitter account is now private.

An announcement on the matter was also issued by New Democracyin which he states that it is a shame for a Greek MP to essentially call the minority “Turkish” and to encourage Muslim citizens to participate in the elections for the new pseudo-mufti of Xanthi, i.e. the one not recognized by the state.

The entire ND announcement

The Muslim PASOK MP in Xanthi, Burhan Baran, in his public post, declares himself a member of the “Advisory Committee of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace” (BTTA Danışma Kurulu), announces the candidates for pseudo-muftis and invites Greek Muslims to come to the “elections” on the 9 /9. Furthermore, he boldly declares that he will stand by whoever is elected!

It is a shame that a Greek MP essentially calls the minority “Turkish” and encourages Muslim citizens to participate in the elections for the new pseudo-mufti of Xanthi, that is, the one the state does not recognize.

The president of PASOK to take a stand: Why is he detaining a member of parliament who recognizes the minority as “Turkish”? Do PASOK respect Greek legislation or not? Do they respect or not the legal procedure for electing a mufti, which the Parliament voted on a few weeks ago?
