Alternative solutions based on the fluctuation of prices in the supply chain of natural gas were examined at the meeting of the Crisis Management Group of the Ministry of Energy held in the afternoon under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at Megaros Maximos.
In particular, the meeting presented the latest developments in the operation of the natural gas supply chain and considered alternative solutions based on price fluctuations. An update on all initiatives and actions taken by the government to support households and businesses until the end of September was also discussed, as well as the main support scenarios for the rest of the autumn and winter months.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance Christos Staikouras, the Minister of Environment and Energy Kostas Skrekas, the Minister of State Giorgos Gerapetritis, the Minister of State Akis Skertsos, the Deputy Minister responsible for Fiscal Policy Theodoros Skylakakis, the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister Yiannis Bratakos, the General Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Athanasios Petralias, Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy Alexandra Sdoukou, Secretary General of Transport Yiannis Xifaras, Director of the Economic Office of the Prime Minister Alexis Patelis, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Energy Affairs Nikos Tsafos, the President and CEO of PPC Giorgos Stassis, the Deputy CEO of PPC Ioannis Kopanakis and the Professor of Energy Economy of the National Technical University of Athens Pantelis Kapros.
