The press representative of SYRIZA-PS, speaking on last night’s main Kontra Channel news bulletin ahead of the Inquiry, emphasized that “the ridiculous invocation of privacy must be stopped immediately” and “the ND amendment should be revoked so that the EYP is not accountable to the ADAE ».
He noted that the government must answer “who and why requested the monitoring of Mr. Androulakis, who and why approved it” and that “the ADAE can answer how many people are being monitored if anything”. “Are we in the 1950s for the government to track political opponents?” commented.
He accused Kyriakos Mitsotakis of “claiming the privilege of not being audited, which is why his government effectively abolished the Institutions and Transparency Committee and the EYP is currently not accountable anywhere”.
