The Mitsotakis government today reaffirmed its guilt, attempting to hide the truth about the surveillance in the dark, says the SYRIZA president in a statement
For continued cover up and exclusion of critical witnesses from the examination Committee the president of SYRIZA accuses the government, Alexis Tsipras. In his statement, he states:
Today, the Mitsotakis government reaffirmed its guilt, attempting to hide the truth about the surveillance in the dark.
After hastening to destroy every evidence for the surveillance of Androulakis, Koukakis and possibly many more politicians and journalists, they are now attempting to untangle with summary procedures and the Commission of Inquiry, excluding all crucial witnesses.
It is not simply a matter of dragging out the parliamentary process, but of a permanent and repeated anti-democratic diversion.
Sealed with unimaginable threats of alleged imprisonment for those who tell the truth. That is, for those who do what the Constitution and the law stipulate.
It is good for everyone to know that if some people are facing serious criminal responsibilities, they are not the ones who reveal the truth.
But those who committed crimes against the democratic state
and those who invoke secrecy before the National Representation, in order to cover them up.
And those who will soon be accountable both to the Greek people and to the law, are not those who fight for the truth and defend the state, but those who fight to impose darkness and undermine the Republic.
