This was emphasized by the Minister of National Defense Nikos Panagiotopoulos, who participated, today, Thursday, September 8, in a meeting of Defense Ministers organized at the initiative of the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the GEETHA General Konstantinos Floros.

The N. Panagiotopoulos he also emphasized that Greece provided, from the first moment, substantial military and humanitarian aid, as a sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people who defend with heroism and self-sacrifice the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. On the sidelines of the meeting, N. Panagiotopoulos had short talks with his counterparts from Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov, Germany’s Christine Lambrecht, the United Kingdom’s Ben Wallace and Italy’s Lorenzo Guerini.

After the completion of the work of the “Ukraine Defense Contact Group”, the Minister of National Defense, accompanied by the head of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, had a meeting with the officers of the Armed Forces serving in NATO’s Allied Air Command, which is based at Ramstein Air Base.
