The president of the Turkish National Assembly is also delirious: Greece’s actions are a threat to our security

by

“If the problems are not solved through negotiations, Turkey has the power to solve them by any means,” Mustafa Sedop said.

The Turkish delirium against Greece continues unabated. On a daily basis, the neighbors make statements that dynamit the atmosphere, either with threats to invade… at night, or with anecdotal statements and distortion of reality.

As the SKAI correspondent from Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis, reports, on Tuesday it was the turn of the president of the Turkish National Assembly, Mustafa Sedop, to attack Greece, saying that Athens’ actions have turned into a “threat to the security” of his country.

Mustafa Sedop met with the president of the Maltese House of Representatives Angelo Farrugia and his accompanying delegation. Sedop referred to the relations between Turkey and the European Union and the recent developments in the Aegean and the Mediterranean.

“The rhetoric and provocative actions of neighboring Greece, which have recently escalated tensions in the Sea of Islands and the Eastern Mediterranean, have now turned into a threat to our country’s security,” he said.

He also emphasized that it is impossible for Turkey to allow Greece to continue arming the islands very close to its shores against international agreements.

“As Turkey we are in favor of diplomacy and cooperation. We are in favor of solving problems through negotiation. Greece, on the other hand, prefers provocation instead of good neighborliness and honest dialogue. It is unacceptable that Greece wants to turn the Sea of Islands into a Greek lake. Violation of our airspace and harassment of our aircraft also continues rampantly. Greece is trying to use Patriot and Russian-made S-300 air defense systems in these harassments. It also harassed Turkish planes carrying out NATO missions in the international airspace of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Sea of Islands on August 22, 24 and September 1 by jamming S-300s. In this regard, since we are both NATO members and neighboring countries, we have shown our opinion and determination to solve these problems through negotiations, but if this is not done, Turkey has the power to solve the problems, the challenges by any means”.
