Due to the terrain in the area, a false belief was formed that the refugees were on Greek soil, HumanRights360 reported earlier.
The position of SYRIZA and Alexis Tsipras regarding the islet in Evros with the 38 migrants, after the announcement by “HumanRights360” of “false belief that they were on Greek soil”, are requested by the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum and the Minister of Citizen Protection Takis Theodorikakos.
“As new evidence clearly challenges the lie about a dead child in Evros, now honestly comes the NGO HumanRights360, who had filed the appeal to the European Court of Human Rights, to confirm the Government’s opinion that what was involved in the case of the 38 immigrants happened outside the Greek Territory. It irreparably exposes those who exploited the incident and more comparatively the situation, for their own benefit by spreading inaccuracies in the international and domestic press. It is recalled that SYRIZA MPs brought the issue to the European Parliament, defaming the country”, reports the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum.
And he adds: “The Government’s firm position is confirmed once again that the smuggling rings and some well-wishers with fake news are trying to bypass the borders of the European Union. Greece protects its borders and at the same time saves thousands of people by implementing a strict but fair immigration policy. We have been waiting – for several days now – for the usually vociferous SYRIZA to be installed. Here is Evros…”.
“The non-governmental organization “HumanRights360″, apologized and admitted that the islet in Evros was not Greek territory. Syriza and Mr. Tsipras, maybe it’s time for them to admit it too and finally apologize to the Akrites, the Greek Police and the Army who guard our borders?” Takis Theodorikakos asked in his Facebook post.
