“Greece will continue to work to promote security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean, always on the basis of International Law and especially International Law of the Sea”
“Political Milestone” characterizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias the decision to completely lift the arms embargo on Cyprus by the State Department, which angered Ankara.
“I welcome and express my particular satisfaction for the decision of the American Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to completely lift the US arms embargo to Cyprus” he notes on Twitter.
“I believe that this decision is a political milestone for the relations between the Republic of Cyprus and the United States of America,” said Mr. Dendias.
I also welcome, notes Nikos Dendias, the contribution of the US Congress and especially the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee Robert Menendez, architect of the East Med Act of 2019.
“Together with Cyprus and the USA, Greece will continue to work to promote security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean, always on the basis of International Law and especially International Law of the Sea” emphasizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
