Regarding Professor Lytra’s study on the deaths from coronavirus in our country, the Minister of Health emphasized that the government has exhausted all the possibilities of increasing ICU beds by more than doubling them with full staffing of medical and nursing staff.
In the post of the president of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras regarding Professor Lytra’s study on mortality from the coronavirus, Thanos Pleuris answered.
In detail in his statement he states:
“According to the most recent ECDC and Euromomo data, this summer our country had the 5th lowest rate of excess mortality in Europe and overall, throughout the pandemic, as confirmed by the World Health Organization, it has recorded the 12th best performance in the EU-27 in terms of excess mortality.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have exhausted all the possibilities of increasing ICU beds by more than doubling them with full medical and nursing staff.
All the scientific studies that are carried out are evaluated by the competent bodies of the ministry and all of them show that vaccination is a weapon to avoid serious illness and intubation.
Today, while Mr. Xanthos in the Social Affairs Committee in the Parliament exposed Mr. Polakis for his unscientific anti-vaccination posts, Mr. Tsipras, with his post, chose once again to align himself with Mr. Polakis and completely cover him in anti-vaccination his views”.
Alexis Tsipras’ post:
“The ICUs are a waste of money” they said and “bring me a study that shows that people die outside the ICU” the PTH challenged the Parliament.
Now that the studies prove that almost no one was saved outside the ICU, will he even apologize?
Not from us but from the thousands who were lost unjustly.— Alexis Tsipras (@atsipras) September 28, 2022
