The minister pointed out that the mission of the Police is multidimensional and the new constables are required to be effective against crime and at the same time friendly towards the citizens, while he expressed the certainty that the new constables will respond worthily to the tasks they undertake.
The Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, in a message he addressed to the new police officers at their swearing-in ceremonies, referred to the value of security which, as he said, is a fundamental, constitutionally guaranteed, right and basic component of Democracy in every organized State.

The new constables of the training series 2020-2022 are expected to take up duties from Monday 3 October.
As pointed out in the relevant announcement of the Ministry of Citizen Protection, the admission of students to the Police School is carried out through the system of general examinations for access to higher education and belongs to the upper level of it.
The naming and awarding ceremonies took place at the headquarters of the Probationary Police Departments of Komotini, Didymoteicho and Rethymnon.
