For an excellent exhibition that is an institution, spoke on Friday evening, from Karditsa, the Minister of Finance, Christos Staikouras, at the opening of the multi-sector exhibition Thessaly Expo, which will last until the 9th of the month, at the Tobacco Warehouses of Karditsa.

Food-drinks, agricultural products & equipment, tourism-agritourism, construction materials, energy, technology, vehicles, home equipment, clothing & accessories, cosmetics and service-carriers make up the content of the event. During its duration, local products and producers will be highlighted, while the mountainous and alternative tourism of the wider region will be highlighted, as well as its tradition and close connection with the agri-food sector. Thessaly Expo is also surrounded by a rich program of parallel events.
The Minister of Finance also emphasized in his greeting that the report highlights the dynamics of entrepreneurship in Thessaly. The main reason, said Mr. Staikouras, that I am with you today is to be accountable, the Greek state must be accountable, first of all in entrepreneurship. Therefore, I think, said the minister, as a result we have succeeded, emphasizing: The economy has recovered strongly, investments have reached a record high, exports have exceeded 41% of wealth, that is, of GDP, industrial production is moving satisfactorily, the citizens’ deposits are increasing. Speaking about IANO that hit the Karditsa Regional Unit, the Minister of Finance emphasized: “I think for the first time we have shown quick reflexes. Have we done everything perfectly? No. Are there delays? Are there. But I think we have done the best we can in terms of realism to face unprecedented external crises”.
Speaking about the energy crisis, he said that we are coming again to show quick reflexes, to cover part of the costs of everyday life. There is no way that any member state of the eurozone will be able to cover all the losses, if there are no horizontal European solutions. Mr. Staikouras did not fail to emphasize that the situation is extremely difficult, we hear your anxiety, we listen to your concerns and we try every time to update the possibilities that the state has, through policies and initiatives, in order to get as close as possible your. To conclude: “It’s not an easy time, it’s not an easy time, and 2023 won’t be easy either. We don’t have unlimited financial resources, we have specific financial resources. Those that come from you. The political leadership of the Ministry of Finance manages your own money And we try to distribute these in society in an economically efficient and socially just way.”

With 100 businesses from all over Thessaly, but also from Patras, Thessaloniki and Crete, it is developing in 3,600 sq.m. roofed and 500 sq.m. outdoor exhibition space in Karditsa Tobacco Warehouses.
