The mayor of the Macedonian city wants to be re-elected in order to continue his work

“Just as I invited you in 2019 to turn “why not in Thessaloniki” into a “yes to Thessaloniki”, I invite you from here, today, to say a big “yes” again for a modern city, for the generations that live today and they dream, but mainly for the generations that follow”.

With this phrase, Mr. Konstantinos Zervas officially announced his decision to run for another term in the mayoralty of Thessaloniki in the upcoming municipal elections.

In an open event at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, Mr. Zervas took stock of the achievements of his administration in the three years he has been at the helm of the municipality, while he committed to eight “flagship” projects, as he described them, which he emphasized will change the image of the city.

During his assessment, Mr. Zervas noted, among other things, that the city is now cleaner, the installation of underground bins has progressed and it is first in recycling throughout Greece. He added that green spaces have increased, but also the quality performance of spaces. He added that major projects are currently underway that will change the image of the city, stressing that there is no neighborhood without a construction site.
