“While Mr. Tsipras continues to politicize by offering easy solutions to difficult problems coming from abroad, the Government is supporting the people of production and households with an important support program which, according to official data, is one of the three biggest in Europe”, said Yiannis Oikonomou, referring to statements made by the official opposition leader after the meeting he had with the Federation of Bakers of Greece.
The government spokesman added: “In particular, bakers know that with the support scheme for electricity bills, up to 80% of increases are absorbed, regardless of the strength of the supply and the level of consumption. We are here, with a plan and professionalism, to continue and strengthen the support, taking advantage of the resources from the development of the economy and the European possibilities. This is our political commitment. This is our significant difference from Mr. Tsipras, who, while he was in power, destroyed the productive sector with excessive taxation and predatory contributions, while today he indulges in irresponsible gratuity.”
