Joint statements of the Prime Minister with his Lithuanian counterpart, Ingrida Symonite
The meeting between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his Lithuanian counterpart has ended Ingrida Symonite in Vilnius, where she is on an official visit. The extended talks of the delegations of the two countries followed. Now, the two leaders are making joint statements. The subject of the meeting was the developments in Ukraine, while immigration was also on the agenda, while the prime minister also informed his counterpart about the intensifying Turkish provocation. In his statements, he pointed out, among other things:
“I briefed the Prime Minister of Lithuania on Turkey’s ongoing provocations in the Aegean and the escalating rhetoric that endangers stability in the region. Turkey is an example of how a revisionist power can endanger security,” said Kyriakos Mitsotakis and added: “Greece keeps the door open to dialogue but the door closed to threats against our territorial sovereignty. Turkey believes that it does not need to choose a side in the Ukraine war as if there is no right or wrong in this case, and we must call on countries that want to become members of the European community to align with European decisions.”
