Celik is out of bounds: He accuses Athens and Frontex of crimes in the Aegean – He compared Greece to the Islamic State

“The Hellenic Coast Guard pushed 46,000 migrants in 1,671 cases of pushbacks in the Aegean in 2020, 2021 and 2022,” Erdogan’s party spokesman said.

Serious accusations against Greece were again launched today by the Turkish side through the mouth of the representative of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) of Turkey, Omer Celik. As it transmits the correspondent of SKAI from Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis, Tselik argued that the Greek coast guard and FRONTEX push tens of thousands of migrants to their deaths in the Aegean while at the same time likened our country to the Islamic State.

“My dear friends, from time to time we share with you crimes against humanity in the Aegean. The crimes against humanity committed by Greece in the Aegean are endless (they don’t end). Despite all warnings, with these re-promotions they continue to push people towards death, injury and their disappearance in the waters of the Mediterranean. Looking at the latest figures, it appears that the Hellenic Coast Guard pushed 46,000 migrants in 1671 cases of pushbacks in the Aegean in 2020, 2021 and 2022.it has been shown that they knowingly and willingly endangered the lives of 46 thousand people. Of course, all this is happening before the eyes of Europe. They are carried out with the knowledge of (EU). This is really embarrassing. And in addition, the European Border Union, which we call Europe’s FRONTEX, participates in all these actions. And at the same time, he is unaware of these actions as they happen before his eyes. For this reason, the European Parliament did not approve their budget. The crimes committed jointly by FRONTEX and the Hellenic Coast Guard fall within the scope of crimes against humanity,” said Omer Celik.

At the same time, he did not hesitate to compare Greece with the Islamic State (DAESH).

“As far as Greece is concerned, we have ratified our warning about these historical objects. We made a statement recently… Awhat they are doing at the Murat Reis Complex in Rhodes is disrespectful. And most importantly, unfortunately, they use some sneaky methods like systematically throwing dog food in our cemeteries, gathering the dogs there and destroying thus our martyrdoms. We call on Greece to respect our martyrdoms, historical places, centers of spirituality – which is the common heritage of mankind. *I mean, how are they different from what DEASH did(is doing) in the Middle East? And DEASH thus destroys these historical works. You see, the authorities in various places in Greece are showing the same attitude.*The Greek government must put an end to them. Barbarism such as the destruction of historical objects in the middle of Europe cannot be accepted.”
