The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns Turkish attempts to upgrade the Occupied Territories

The statements of Turkish officials regarding the alleged admission of the pseudo-state with observer status in the Organization of Turkish-Speaking States is condemned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It also declares that any attempt to upgrade the pseudo-state is a gross violation of International Law and Security Council Resolutions 541 and 550.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs underlines that Greece’s position is stable and unwavering and makes it clear that “we support the efforts to achieve a fair and sustainable solution to the Cyprus issue that will be based on the relevant Resolutions of the UN Security Council and will be compatible with European acquis, a bi-communal, bi-zonal federation”.

We condemn the statements of Turkish officials regarding the alleged admission of the pseudo-state with observer status in the Organization of Turkish-Speaking States.
