The Decision of the Deputy Minister of Interior, in charge of Macedonia and Thrace, Mr. Stavros Kalafatis, was posted on Diavgeia, on the subject of “Defining strategic goals at the Ministry of Interior (Macedonia and Thrace Sector for the year 2022”).
According to the decision, these objectives are the following:
1. The evaluation, monitoring and control of implementation, implementation of investment laws, investment plans and the contribution to the creation of new jobs as well as to actions to promote innovation.
2. Strengthening the protection of consumers and the protection of professionals, who implement the current legislation on the safety of industrial products against those who violate the limits of a healthy and safe competition.
3. The development of extroverted regional policy actions for the balanced and sustainable productive and social reconstruction of Macedonia and Thrace. In this context is included the planning of the organization of the 4th Balkan Forum.
4. The development of actions to promote international, cross-border and transnational cooperation for the interconnection of the environmental, cultural and tourist resources and routes of Macedonia and Thrace with those of the Balkans and the Black Sea, as well as the development of business cooperation of Macedonia and Thrace of the Balkans, the Black Sea and SE Europe, as indicatively mentioned are the projects (co-financed part of PDE) LOC FOOD, TERRA VINO, ALTER TRIP, as well as the strategic project of Opening a Border Station in Neck – Prespes.
5. The promotion and protection of the natural, cultural and architectural heritage in the 17 Regional Units of Macedonia and Thrace, in which 71 settlements have already been characterized as traditional, 20 areas as Landscapes of Special Natural Beauty and about 3,300 buildings as preserved, as well as the awareness of citizens for the protection of the natural and cultural environment and the promotion of social cohesion and solidarity, through the programs CREATE, SUPPORT, GREEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP, BENEFIT, PRODUCT, etc.
6. The planning, coordination, management and supervision of all issues related to the administrative support, e-government and financial operation of the Agency and the supervised entities.
7. The monitoring and support of the TIF-HELEXPO Regeneration and the 4th Generation technology Park “Thessintec”.
8. The promotion of the project and the effective management of the communication of the Institution.
9. The development of administrative modernization systems and strategic planning methods for all areas of responsibility of the Agency and for the utilization of the human resources and infrastructure available to it and its supervised bodies, to serve the public interest and the citizens.
10. The development and coordinated implementation of actions related to Civil Protection issues.
