Nikos Dendias – in a ceremony held upon his arrival at Benghazi airport – proceeded to donate an additional 30,000 vaccines against the coronavirus, following the donation of 200,000 vaccines in August 2021.
The Greek Foreign Minister arrived in Benghazi via Maltese airspace, after the diplomatic episode in Tripoli and the departure of the Greek mission without getting off the plane.

Nikos Dendias – in a ceremony held upon his arrival at Benghazi airport – proceeded to donate an additional 30,000 vaccines against the coronavirus, following the donation of 200,000 vaccines in August 2021.
As the minister pointed out, Greece continues to support the Libyan people in their efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Greek government is willing to donate even more vaccines than Libya can absorb”, noted the minister and added: “It is a move for the common good and a good that all citizens in the world should have access to”.
He pointed out that the reality at Benghazi airport is much better than the one he had encountered on his first visit.
