“The neighbor is playing with fire: The Chief of GETHA Floros makes provocative comments” characteristically comments the newspaper Yeni Safak
The Turkish press was outraged by the message of the GEETHA leader Konstantinos Floros to Ankara that “anyone who tries to come to our country will face a new Marathon”, on the occasion of today’s Armed Forces Day.
“The neighbor is playing with fire: The Chief of GEETHA Floros makes provocative comments” characteristically comments the newspaper Yeni Safak on its website according to the correspondent of SKAI in Istanbul Manolis Kostidis.
The Turkish website notes: “Referring to statements by Turkey and senior analysts in Turkey that Ankara’s operation in Syria and Northern Iraq was ‘a message to Greece’, Floros stated that his own words were an indirect response to Turkey”.
The newspaper hosts part of the statement of the leader GEETHA: “We want peace and we are working for it, but whoever makes the fatal mistake of ‘coming’ should know in advance that he will face a new Marathon, a new Salamis and a new 731. I am sure that every A Greek will fight the good fight to protect the country, as they have done so many times in the past. Even for a piece of land, for a rock, for a Greek stone. Because we paid a heavy price to have them.”
