The prime minister underlined the need for Europe to move strategically and united in order to secure the quantities of energy it needs.
In need of finding a solution for the ceiling the Council of Energy Ministers of the EU that will take place on December 13 was, according to information, the focus of the Prime Minister in his intervention at the Summit EUMED-9 of the countries of the European Southin Alicante, Spain.
At the same time, he underlined the need for Europe to act strategically and united in order to ensure the quantities of energy it needs.
The Prime Minister underlined that “Europe needs to support our companies, to procure the gas we need from the world market. Otherwise, we will face the same problem over and over again.”
He also highlighted the role that hydrocarbon production can play in the EU’s energy security and developed Greece’s plan to accelerate investigations in its territory. “If we could bring European natural gas to the European market, that would be very welcome,” he said.
